The throughput range of the 1000 Series covers use cases ranging from the small office, home office, remote branch office, and Internet edge. Cisco Firepower Threat Defense is installed on the 1000 Series platforms (FTD). A subsequent release will include support for the Cisco® Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Firewall.
